Case Study – La Tourelle Resort

La Tourelle Resort, August Moon Spa and Simply Red Bistro are fully committed to reducing their negative impact on the environment. They believe in best practices for environmental management, including waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and repurchasing. The 4 R’s. La Tourelle was accepted into the New York State’s Green Hotels “Greenleaf” Program, a partnership between New York State, RPI and Audubon International. La Tourelle currently enjoys a rating of three leaves (out of 4).

Since the resort is so dedicated to becoming a sustainable business, they hired ASI Energy to conduct an onsite NYSERDA Flextech Commercial Energy Assessment.

After an exhaustive review of the resort, 10 total energy conservation measures were identified. The total annual savings, upon installation, is modeled to be $25,082. Some of the suggested measures include: air-sealing, WSHP loop VFD pump upgrades,  and HVAC/lighting controls and machine updates.
